One of the oldest inns in the world, originally built 1130AD. The façade is now Georgian whilst the interior is mainly Medieval.
This fabulous Inn is steeped in history. The Inn has various separate areas including the bar, a snug, parlour, tap room and confessional.
The beautiful period features include original wood panelling, and an impressive Medieval fireplace
In it’s time, it was a favoured haunt of several historical characters of note
